1. What is a FiXPRT Serviceman?

Serviceman is the field worker who performs the actual service for the customer. You work under a Provider (a service business registered on FiXPRT). The provider finds customers and assigns jobs to you through the FiXPRT platform.

Your role in the marketplace:

Customer books a service → Provider accepts → Provider assigns you → You complete the job → Customer pays → You earn

Key facts:

  • Your provider assigns bookings to you through the FiXPRT Partner App
  • You use the FiXPRT Serviceman App to manage your jobs
  • You update the booking status as you work (en route → in progress → completed)
  • OTP verification at completion confirms the job is done
  • Your earnings are tracked and paid out by your provider

2. Getting Started

2.1 Download the Serviceman App

Get the FiXPRT Serviceman App from your app store:

  • Android: Google Play Store — search “FiXPRT Serviceman”
  • iOS: Apple App Store — search “FiXPRT Serviceman”
  • Minimum Requirements: Android 8+ / iOS 14+, Internet connection

2.2 Your Provider Creates Your Account

You do not register yourself. Your provider creates your account:

  1. The provider adds you in their Serviceman Management section
  2. They enter your name, phone number, and email
  3. You receive login credentials from your provider
  4. You log in to the Serviceman App

Note: If you haven’t received your login details, contact your provider.

2.3 Logging In

  1. Open the Serviceman App
  2. Enter your email and password (provided by your employer)
  3. Tap Login
  4. You will see your Dashboard with your assigned bookings

3. Your First Day

3.1 What to Do When You Get a Booking Assignment

When a provider assigns a booking to you:

  1. You’ll receive a push notification
  2. Open the app and check Booking Details
  3. Review:
    • Customer name and location
    • Service requested
    • Scheduled date and time
    • Any special instructions
  4. Prepare for the job

3.2 Before You Head Out

  • Check the customer’s location on the map
  • Confirm you have the right tools/equipment
  • Contact the customer if needed through the chat feature
  • Set your status to En Route when you leave

4. Booking Status Lifecycle

Every booking goes through these stages from your perspective:

Assigned → En Route → In Progress → Completed
Status What It Means What You Do
Assigned The provider has assigned this job to you Review details and prepare
En Route You are traveling to the customer’s location Tap “En Route” when you leave
In Progress You have arrived and are doing the work Tap “Start Service” when you arrive
Completed The job is done and verified Upload photos, enter OTP, tap “Complete”

How to change a booking status:

  1. Open the booking from your list
  2. Scroll to the status section
  3. Tap the relevant button:
    • En Route — when you start traveling
    • Start Service — when you arrive at the customer’s location
    • Complete — when the work is finished

5. Completing a Booking

When you finish the service, follow these steps carefully. This is the most important part of your job on the platform.

Step-by-step completion process:

1. Finish the service work
2. Take photo evidence of the completed work
3. Ask the customer for the OTP
4. Enter the OTP in the app
5. Tap “Complete”
6. Confirmation dialog appears

What happens after completion:

  • The booking status changes to Completed
  • The system processes the payment
  • The customer receives a notification
  • The provider is notified
  • The transaction is recorded
  • The customer can leave a review

Important: All checkpoints (photos, OTP, confirmation, status update) must be completed for the booking to be marked complete. Missing any step means the booking stays open.

6. OTP Verification

OTP (One-Time Password) is a 4-digit code that verifies the service was completed.

How OTP works:

  1. When you mark a booking ready for completion, the customer receives a 4-digit OTP
  2. The OTP is sent to the customer’s phone via SMS or in-app notification
  3. Ask the customer to share the OTP with you
  4. Enter the OTP in the Serviceman App
  5. The system verifies it and completes the booking

Why OTP is required:

Reason Explanation
Proof of completion Confirms the customer agrees the service is done
Payment release Triggers payment processing for the provider
Fraud prevention Prevents false completion claims
Dispute resolution Provides audit trail for any issues

Tip: If the customer hasn’t received their OTP, ask them to check their SMS inbox or request a resend from their app. If issues persist, contact support.

7. Photo Evidence

Before completing a booking, you must upload at least one photo showing the completed work.

Photo guidelines:

Guideline Details
Required At least 1 photo per booking
Clear Well-lit, in-focus image of the work area
Complete Show the finished result
Timestamp Added automatically by the app
Storage Photos are stored securely on the platform

How to upload photos:

  1. When you tap Complete, the camera/gallery opens
  2. Take a photo of the completed work
  3. You can add multiple photos if needed
  4. Confirm the upload
  5. Proceed to OTP verification

8. Understanding Your Earnings

8.1 How Servicemen Get Paid

Payment Method Description

Mixed Base salary + performance bonus
